Obituary

Wendy Dawn Pulkrabek (Keller) was born March 31, 1970 to Don and Jackie Keller in Ulysses,

Kansas. She grew up near Deerfield, Kansas where she attended school. She passed away

Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at home in Meade, Kansas at the age of 52.

After graduating from Deerfield High School class of 1988- she married her high school

sweetheart, Timothy "Timmy" Dean Pulkrabek on June 5, 1988. Together they would go on to

owning their one machine shop business in Monte Vista, Colorado, and perhaps the thing she

was most proud of- having her six children, Zachary, Shelby, Holley, Mackenzie (Mack), Colby,

and Helen.

While she loved reading and was never caught without a book in tow, there was nothing she

loved more than being "Mom" and watching her family grow with the marriages of her three

oldest children, except perhaps when she was promoted to "Grandma" in November of 2017.

As her own children grew and all went off to school, she knew she wanted to continue to shape

the lives of young children- so with much hard work and determination she embarked on the

journey of obtaining her teaching degree from Fort Hays State University- which she completed

in 2015. After one year of teaching in Fowler, Kansas, she went on to teach in the Liberal

Kansas elementary school system for the remainder of her career.

She was proceeded in death by grandparents Edward and Martha Schultz of Saint Francis,

Kansas, grandparents Albert and Vinta Keller of Saint Francis, Kansas, mother Jackie Keller of

Eckley, Colorado, and sister Carrie Keller. She is survived by her father Don Keller of Akron,

Colorado, Husband Timmy of Meade, Kansas, son Zachary Pulkrabek and wife Nikki of Lenexa,

Kansas, daughter Shelby Bremer and husband Justin of Sylvia, Kansas, daughter Holley Brown

and husband Clay of Mosca, Colorado, son Mackenzie "Mack" Pulkrabek, son Colby Pulkrabek,

and daughter Helen Pulkrabek of Meade, as well as three grandchildren Riley Ann & Eli Thomas

Brown and Jackson Jameson Pulkrabek, brother Wade Keller and wife Kim of Eckley, Colorado,

and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her memorial service will be held Friday, December 2, 2022 at the Emmanuel Mennonite Church in Meade, Kansas at 2 pm, with graveside at Graceland Cemetery in Meade and reception at the church to follow.

Memorials to the Wendy Pulkrabek Scholarship fund in care of Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary are welcome.
