FOWLER – Sharon S. Ratzlaff, age 56, passed away early Sunday morning, February 25, 2018, at the Meade District Hospital, Meade, Kansas.

She was born March 6, 1961, at Meade, Kansas, the daughter of Robert L. (Bob) and Mildred (Mickey) L. (Ruder) Sheldon. As a young girl she attended the Plains school system, graduating from Southwestern Heights High School. After her graduation, she began her career as a certified nurses aid, working for several area care facilities.

She attended the Meade Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed caring for dogs and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her children, Corey Gonzales of Rocky Mountain, North Carolina, and Elizabeth Antonelli of Hanston, Kansas; a brother, Robert (Bob) Sheldon, Jr. of Plains, Kansas; two sisters, Kathy Novinger of Meade, Kansas, and Jane Berry of Stinnett, Texas; and seven grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and three brothers, William (Bill), Jerry, and Thomas Sheldon.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 2, 2018, at the Church of the Nazarene, Meade. Cremation has taken place. Private family inurnment will take place at the Plains Cemetery, Plains, at a later date.
