Rodney Lee Ohnick, 64, died Thursday, July 12, 2018 in rural Meade County. He was born March 31, 1954 to Mitcheal "Mick" and Patricia Jane "Pat" (Twyman) Ohnick at the Ft. Bliss U.S. Army Hospital, in El Paso, Texas. As a young boy he attended the Meade school system, graduating from Meade High School in 1972. Upon his graduation, he began his career in farming. In June, 1986, Rodney and ex-wife, Nancy Feldman, started Back Room Printing. He spent twenty years suppling printing and office supply needs to the local area. After selling the business, he then returned to his passion farming. On August 5, 2006, he married Martha John at Meade, Kansas, and have resided at their country home since. He enjoys farming, animals, in particular dogs and cats, and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Martha; father, Mick Ohnick of rural Meade; a brother, Russell Ohnick; and a sister, Rhonda Gillen and husband Rick all from Meade, Kansas.

Rodney wanted an event celebrating his life to take place on the family farm at a later date. Suggested memorial contributions go to the Celebration of Rod's Life get-together. Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
