MEADE – Peggy Ann Burdge, age 52, died Wednesday, September 30, 2009, at her Meade, Kansas, residence.

She was born November 4, 1956, at Petersburg, Texas, the daughter of Emma Rescoe Bartley. As a young girl, she attended school in the Plainview area, graduating from Plainview in 1975. She later attended Seward County Community College, receiving her Associates degree. A resident of Meade since 9178, she was a homemaker.

Peggy enjoyed going to garage sales, reading, participating in the Relay for Life, and spending time with her family and friends.

On Jun 4, 1978, she married Rick Burdge at Meade, Kansas. He survives.

Four grandchildren, Savannah, Jessica, Esther, and Kailyn

She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Tom Bartley.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 5, 2009, at Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary Chapel, Meade, Kansas, with the Reverend Ken Harder presiding. Friends may call from 12:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Graceland Cemetery, Meade.
