PLAINS – Martha Carrillo de Garcia, age 67, passed away Sunday, July 30, 2017, at Logan, New Mexico.

She was born July 11, 1950, at Moral, Jerez, Zacatecas, Mexico, the daughter of Juan Carrillo Avila and Rita Castro Hernandez. As a young girl she attended school in Mexico. In 1967, she married Robert Garcia in Mexico. A resident of Plains for twenty years, she was a mother, wife, and homemaker.

She was a member of the ACC, Plains. She enjoyed cooking, being a grandmother, and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Roberto of Plains; her children, Nicasio Carrillo Carillo, Gerardo Garcia Carrillo, Efrain Garcia Carrillo, Maria Magdalena Garcia Carrillo, Alicia Sanchez, Francisca Loya, Martha Garcia Carrillo, Roberto Garcia Carrillo, and Moses Garcia Carrillo; several brothers, sisters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 4, 2017, at the Plains Community Center, Plains. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Thursday at Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade, Kansas. Interment will follow in the Plains Cemetery, Plains.
