MEADE – Marguerite I. "Peggy" Link, age 69, passed away late Sunday evening, January 29, 2017, at the Meade District Hospital, Meade, Kansas.

She was born May 2, 1947, at Garnett, Kansas, the daughter of Everett and Eleanor (Van Horn) Cummings. As a young girl she attended school in Wichita and later attended Hutchinson Community College. A longtime resident of the Hutchinson area, she was a certified nurses aide, having worked for Golden Plains and Pleasant View nursing facilities.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and enjoyed coloring, ceramics, animals, and spending time with her family and friends.

On April 23, 1966, she married Gwynn Alan Link at Hutchinson, Kansas. He precedes her in death.

A son, Darrel Link (Michelle) of Derby, Kansas

Three daughters, Brenda Link of Logan, Utah
Jennifer Poyner of Hutchinson, Kansas
Rebecca Rodarmel (Melvin) of Meade, Kansas

Her mother, Eleanor Neufeld of Hutchinson, Kansas

A brother, Rick Sands of Rogers, Arkansas

A sister, Rose Harris of Garnett, Kansas

Seven grandchildren, Christopher, Tanner, and Austin

A great-granddaughter, Kinsley

As requested by the family, cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held at a later date.

The family would welcome memorials to the Meade Elementary School Playground Equipment Fund or the Reno County Humane Society in care of Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade.
