MEADE – Elizabeth C. "Betty" Komarek, age 86, died late Saturday evening, May 9, 2009, at the Minneola District Hospital, Minneola, Kansas.

She was born November 30, 1922, at Chase, Kansas, the daughter of Thomas Edward and Grace Blanche (Stumps) Robinson. Upon her graduation from high school, she later received her nurses training, and began her career in nursing. She was a resident of Meade since 2005, moving from Fowler, Kansas.

She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Meade. Betty enjoyed spending time outdoors, bird watching, and working word puzzles.

She married William R. "Bill" Richardson. The couple later divorced. On May 14, 1955, she married George Cletus "Clet" Richardson at Missoula, Montana. He precedes her in death.

Survivors include:
A daughter, Barbara Ann Beeler and husband, Ben of Huson, Montana

Three grandchildren, Belinda, Brad and Bonnie

She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; two brothers, Russell and Leo; and a sister, Margaret.

Private memorial services will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place. Services have been entrusted to Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade, Kansas.
