FOWLER - David R. Jordan, age 62, passed away Friday afternoon, July 2, 2021, at his rural Fowler, Kansas, residence.

He was born October 7, 1958, at Bossier City, Louisiana, the son of Gerald and Doris (Fedrick) Jordan. As a young boy, he attended school in Rome, New York, graduating from Rome Free Academy in 1977. He later attended school at Delhi Ag and Tech, Delhi, New York, receiving his training in Refrigeration and Air Condition. In 1991, he moved to Newton, Kansas.

On April 27, 2013, he married Sarah Lauppe at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Fowler. After his marriage, the couple have made their home in rural Fowler. He was a truck driver for the United States Postal Service, Kindsvater Trucking, Kansas Feeds, and Max Papay Trucking.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah of rural Fowler; a stepdaughter, Anna-Marie Lauppe of rural Fowler; three sisters, Sheron Pearl of Surprise, Arizona, Suzanne Grabar of LeRoy, New York, and Lynne Philley of Rome, New York; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Doris Jordan; a brother, Edward Jordan; and a sister Betty Lou Jordan.

Vigil services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 15, 2021, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Fowler. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 16, 2021 at the church. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade, Kansas. Interment will follow in the Fowler Cemetery, Fowler.

The family would welcome memorials to the American Cancer Society or the St. Anthony's Building Fund in care of the funeral home.
