COLORADO SPRINGS – Carol L. Palmen, age 85, passed away early Sunday morning, April 17, 2022, at the Pikes Peak Hospice, Colorado Springs, Colorado.

She was born November 21, 1936, at Meade, Kansas, the daughter of William V. and Gladys F. (Easterday) Fuhrman.  As a young girl, she attended school in Meade, graduating from Meade High School in 1954.  Upon her graduation, she began her career as a business professional.

She enjoyed genealogy, scrapbooking, and spending time with her family and friends.

On September 27, 1986, she married Jan A. Palmen at Lake Tahoe, Nevada.  He survives.

Other survivors include a brother, W. Dean Fuhrman; two sisters, Patricia Maier and Dixie Homer.

She is preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Martha Lee Fuhrman and Mildred Fern Fuhrman.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 25, 2022, at Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade.  Interment will follow in the Fowler Cemetery, Fowler, Kansas.

The family would welcome memorials to the St. Jude's Research Hospital in care of the funeral home.
