LIBERAL – Amy JoAnn Williams, age 82, passed away Monday afternoon, January 17, 2022, at the Homestead Estates Home, Liberal.

She was born September 2, 1939, at rural Eaton Rapids, Michigan. As a young girl, she moved to Leoti, Kansas, where the family made their home for many years.

On November 5, 1956, she married Darrel L. Taylor at Raton, New Mexico. After their marriage, the couple in several locations including Leoti, Kansas, Minnesota, and Garden City, Kansas. She later worked for Seward County in the Department of Vehicles. She later became the Seward County Treasurer, serving for over twenty-three years. After several years of marriage, she and Darrel divorced. She later married Larry Williams at Liberal, Kansas

She was a member of the Elks Lodge and the Kansas Association of County Treasurers. She enjoyed bowling, crossword puzzles, sewing, dancing, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband Larry Williams of Liberal; four daughters, Becky Andrews and husband Butch of Greely, Colorado, Tammy Heimeyer of Kilgore, Texas, Diane Baldridge of Tyrone, Oklahoma; and Peggy Neel and husband Billie of Meade, Kansas; two brothers, Doug Brown of Wilerny, Minnesota, and Rolly Brown of Schrale, Colorado; fifteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her former husband, Darrel; a daughter, Pammy Sue Taylor; and her parents.

Private family memorial services will be held at a later date. There will be no public viewing, as cremation has taken place.

The family would welcome memorials to the Alzheimer's Association in care of Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade.
